5 tips for caring for viscose carpet

Viscose is often called "artificial silk" due to its softness and shine, but this fiber requires some specific attention. Follow these guidelines:

1. Regular vacuuming (only in one direction) Vacuum your carpet at least once a week, but use only a flat vacuum nozzle (without rotating bristles that can damage the delicate fibers).

Important: Vacuum in the direction of the pile. If the pile lies flat when you run your hand through it, this is the correct direction. This will preserve the shine of the carpet.

2. Liquids are the worst enemy

Viscose is extremely sensitive to moisture. Spilled liquid can harden or discolor the fiber.

What to do? In the event of an accident, immediately blot up the liquid with a clean, dry white cloth or paper towel. Do not rub! Just pat gently until the moisture is absorbed.

3. Professional cleaning

Only dry cleaning is recommended for Millav carpets. Avoid washing with water or steam cleaners at home, as moisture can deform the cotton base or the texture of the “laid” fiber.

4. Carpet rotation
