The Silas desk is made of black FSC-certified ash and comes from the collection of the Dutch brand WOOOD. The Silas series has a contemporary modern look and offers a good basis for the interior. Material This desk has two practical drawers and is made of ash wood (finger jointed), has been sanded and lacquered in the colour blacknight. Ash wood is a slightly soft wood with a tight, straight grain. The straight grain pattern ensures that ash wood can be bent well, which makes ash wood very suitable for the furniture industry. Treated ash wood is strong and hardwearing, but untreated ash wood can show a lot of movement and quickly yellow. Sanded ash gives a neat, smooth look. Brushed ash has more character and band sawn ash has a very robust and rough look. Dimensions The Silas desk has a height of 75 cm, a width of 140 cm and a depth of 44 cm. The base is made of black metal and has a height of 63 cm. Both drawers have a depth of 38 cm. The large drawer is 86 cm wide and the smaller drawer is 42 cm wide. This piece of furniture has a weight of 20 kg. Care instructions Treated ash is easy to clean with a slightly damp, clean cloth. Stains on untreated ash wood can be removed with an absorbent, clean cloth. If stains are stubborn, ash wood can easily be re-treated. Sand the wood to 180 grit, then protect the ash wood with an oil, wax, varnish or stain of your choice. Untreated ash wood is not suitable for outdoor use. Delivery The tall unit is delivered in one package and is easy to assemble using the assembly instructions supplied. To protect hard floors, place felt glides under the legs. For furniture higher than 70 cm, we recommend paying extra attention to the wall mounting. Mounting the fall prevention device prevents accidents and preserves the cabinet from tipping over.
